The Challenge

Uzbekistan's agricultural market had a problem that money alone couldn't fix: the trading process was slow, opaque, and full of intermediaries. Farmers couldn't access fair prices. Buyers couldn't verify product quality. The government couldn't get reliable data on production volumes, exports, or imports.

The Ministry of Agriculture needed more than a website — they needed a digital infrastructure that could connect the entire agricultural ecosystem: producers, buyers, service providers, logistics companies, financial institutions, and government bodies, all in one place.

That platform became E-Agrosavdo — Electron Agrosanoat Bozori Portali.

  • No unified digital channel for agricultural trade in Uzbekistan

  • Excessive intermediaries driving up prices and reducing transparency

  • Asymmetric information between buyers and sellers

  • No reliable digital data on production volumes, import, and export

  • Manual documentation processes slowing down trade

  • No integration between agricultural market participants and government systems

The Approach & Result

This wasn't a typical design project. Before opening Figma, I worked alongside project managers and analysts to define the product architecture — mapping user flows, defining platform modules, and structuring how the system would connect with government bodies like Uzbekstat, the Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Agriculture's national integration platform.

Product Architecture

The platform was designed around a B2B2C model covering two core functions: a marketplace for direct agricultural trade, and an exchange for auctions and competitive tenders. The architecture included:

  • Direct sales, auctions, and competitive tenders in one platform

  • Integration with government systems: Uzbekstat, Tax Committee, National Goscom, and the Unified Integration Platform

  • Services ecosystem: fertilizer suppliers, equipment rental, irrigation systems, veterinary services, certification labs, financial services, and agro-logistics

  • Import/export analytics dashboard with real-time price charts by country and product category

  • User types: legal entities and individuals, both as buyers and sellers

UI Design — 8 Pages

  • Home — hero with live currency rates, product categories, services, import/export statistics, news, and company ratings

  • Products — filterable catalog of agricultural goods across 12+ categories

  • Trading — active and completed auction/tender listings with price, volume, region, and status

  • Services — 10 service categories from equipment rental to financial services

  • Statistics — interactive import/export analytics with country comparison and custom report ordering

  • News — article listing with agricultural tips and industry updates

  • Instructions — video tutorial library for platform onboarding

  • Contacts — general and analytics department contacts with inquiry form

The design language used a clean, trustworthy green palette — appropriate for a government agricultural platform — with clear data hierarchy to make complex information scannable for farmers and traders alike.

"E-Agrosavdo was one of the most ambitious digital projects in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. Abduqodir not only delivered the UI design but actively contributed to shaping the product architecture — bringing clarity and structure to a very complex system. The platform set a new standard for government digital services in the agro-industry."

Saidagzam Alimov · Former Head of Department, Ministry of Agriculture — Republic of Uzbekistan

Ministry of Agriculture — Republic of Uzbekistan

Designed and architected a full-scale government B2B2C digital marketplace for agricultural trade in Uzbekistan — one of the country's first platforms of this kind. The platform covers the entire agricultural trade cycle: product listings, auctions, services, import/export analytics, and news. Delivered 8 pages of UI design alongside product architecture developed in collaboration with PMs and analysts. Part of a state-funded digital initiative exceeding $10M in government investment.
